Return & Refund Policy
Last updated: 4 September 2026
At Stuff-N-Things, we want you to be happy with your purchase. If something isn't right, please contact us and we'll do our best to resolve the issue quickly and fairly.
This policy applies to purchases made through the Stuff-N-Things online store.
1. Your Right to Cancel
If you are a UK consumer purchasing goods online, you generally have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, without needing to provide a reason.
If you decide to cancel under this right, you must let us know within 14 days of receiving your order. You will then have a further 14 days to return the goods to us.
Your statutory rights are not affected by this policy.
2. How to Request a Return
To request a return, please contact us before sending anything back.
Please provide:
- Your name
- Order number
- The item(s) you wish to return
- The reason for the return, where applicable
We will provide you with the appropriate return instructions and return address.
Please do not send goods to the address of a supplier or fulfilment partner unless we have specifically instructed you to do so.
3. Condition of Returned Goods
When returning an item because you have changed your mind, you are entitled to handle the goods only to the extent necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functionality, in the same way you would reasonably be able to do in a shop.
You may be responsible for any reduction in the value of goods caused by handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect them.
Where possible, please return items in their original packaging and with all accessories, instructions and included components.
This does not affect your statutory rights where an item is faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise fails to meet the requirements of applicable consumer law.
4. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items
If your item arrives faulty, damaged, defective or materially different from its description, please contact us as soon as possible.
Depending on the circumstances and your statutory rights, we may offer a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.
Where a refund is due because goods are faulty, defective, not as described or otherwise do not meet your statutory rights, we will not ask you to pay the return costs.
Please provide photographs or other information about the problem where reasonably requested. This can help us investigate the issue and arrange the quickest possible resolution.
5. Change-of-Mind Returns
If you simply change your mind about an online purchase, you may exercise your statutory 14-day cancellation right, subject to applicable legal exceptions.
Once you have notified us that you wish to cancel, the goods should be returned within the required timeframe.
Unless the goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect or otherwise covered by your statutory rights, you may be responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods.
6. Refunds
Once we have received the returned goods, or where applicable received satisfactory evidence that they have been returned, we will process any refund due without undue delay and within the applicable legal timeframe.
Where you exercise your statutory right to cancel, we will normally refund:
- The price paid for the returned goods; and
- The cost of the standard delivery option originally selected.
If you selected a more expensive delivery service, we are not required to refund the additional cost above the standard delivery charge.
Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed with you.
7. Items That Cannot Be Returned
Some products may be excluded from the standard cancellation right where permitted by law.
Examples can include:
- Personalised or made-to-order goods
- Perishable goods
- Certain sealed goods which cannot reasonably be returned for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed
- Other goods specifically excluded from cancellation rights by applicable law
Where an exclusion applies, this will be made clear to you before or at the time of purchase where required.
8. Sale and Discounted Items
Sale, promotional and discounted products have the same statutory consumer rights as full-price products.
A product being discounted does not remove your legal rights if the item is faulty, not as described or otherwise fails to meet applicable consumer law.
9. Return Delivery and Risk
Please package returned goods securely to reduce the risk of damage during transportation.
Where you are responsible for the return postage, we recommend using a tracked delivery service and keeping proof of postage.
Where goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect or otherwise covered by your statutory rights, we will provide appropriate instructions regarding return delivery.
10. Late or Missing Refunds
If you believe a refund is overdue, please contact us with your order number so that we can investigate.
If a refund has been approved, please also allow your payment provider or bank the normal processing time for the money to appear in your account.
11. Statutory Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy limits, excludes or attempts to remove any rights you have under UK consumer law.
In particular, nothing in this policy affects your rights under applicable consumer legislation concerning goods that are faulty, unsafe, not as described, or not of satisfactory quality or otherwise fail to meet the requirements imposed by law.
